Born in 2002, Bear moved
aboard our first Nordhavn when he was just three months old. We
attribute his surfing agility to his learning to walk aboard a
rolling vessel.
In Bear's Words: I just LOVE my boat. I have my own bedroom which has bunk beds in it and my very own office with a desk. More to come.....

Bear
(Robert) Bloomquist
His
name, Bear (used as his name so much that Robert appears to be the
nickname), can also be attributed to his early days. His given
name being Robert after his paternal grandfather, the
Mexicans translated it to Roberto. But the childhood
nickname in Mexico for Roberto is Bertito. So we
adopted that name for a while then eventually shortened it to Bear.
He also made small grunts like a bear and was rolly-polly like a
bear, so the name really seemed to fit.
